Abstract
- This article focuses on the internal consistency of the Wisc scores for ages 5 to 16. The extreme paucity of research on the internal consistency of the WISC subtest scores for normal children, over the age range for which the instrument is intended, is perhaps attributable to (a) the confidence that psychologists have displayed in the indices based on the original standardization data (b) the relatively limited scope of the problem, and (c) a general decline in interest in the internal, psychometric characteristics of those ability tests that have received common acceptance.
