Abstract

The article reports on the recollection by the survivors of the deadly revolution that led to Pakistan's independence from India 75 years ago as of August 2022. According to Sudarshana Rani, she was just a child when members of her family were executed during Great Britain's partition of India in 1947. Also cited are Rani's failure to find the body of her 5-year-old brother Mulk Raj, and the deaths of as much as two million people during the partition.
