Avaliação de características morfométricas da bacia hidrográfica do Rio Peruípe (BA).

The morphometric characteristics of the hydrographic basin of the river Peruípe BA Brazil are determined by SIB, employing ArcGIS 10.8©. It is highly important to assess physiological characteristics of the basin to efficiently manage hydric resources. The basin's delimitations were obtained through morphometric characteristics such as drainage area, perimeter, total length of water courses and main river, through ArcGIS©. Drainage density, compactness coefficient, form factor, circularity index, maintenance coefficient and basin's mean declivity were calculated. Evaluation of characteristics revealed that the river Peruípe basin is an elongated basin in natural conditions with low susceptibility to flooding. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
