Abstract

B Dear Editor: b Tuberculosis is a serious threat to human health, especially multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). Eventually, all the 25 MDR-TB patients with NTM completed the course of MDR-TB treatment and achieved success in the treatment according to the World Health Organization guidelines.[2] There are two possible explanations. The bacteriological diagnostic criteria recommended by the ATS guidelines may not be suitable for the diagnosis of MDR-TB patients with NTM infection, especially when NTM species is detected during the treatment of MDR-TB.
