AS TRÊS DIMENSÕES DO MINISTÉRIO DA PALAVRA.

This article presents an integrative approach to pastoral ministry activities which is grounded in the Scriptures and has been used throughout Christian history. This model departs from the presupposition that the center of pastoral ministry should be the devotion "to prayer and the ministry of the word" (Acts 6.4). However, the focus of this essay will be on the ministry of the Word. In the article, the ministry is analyzed in its public, personal, and private dimensions. The understanding and internalization of these dimensions can benefit the pastor and aid him in focusing on that which, in reality, should be primary in his plan and schedule. This, in turn, allows him to avoid the stress of ministerial activism and burnout resulting from peripheral activities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
