Abstract
- Compares the efficacy of vasopressin with epinephrine in improving rates of survival of patients requiring out-of-hospital cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Identification of high endogenous vasopressin levels in canine cardiac arrest models and in a model of ventricular fibrillation and CPR; Primary and secondary outcomes of the assessment on neurologic function in the surviving patients using a cerebral performance score; Implications of the study for the science of resuscitation.
