Abstract
- Chapter 2 describes the massacre in Bangkok on October 6, 1976, where a large number of student activists were killed by the police and right-wing groups. With the 2020 rise of student activism in Thailand, for the first time since the October 6, 1976 incident, the book I Moments of Silence i has gained more and more readers since the activists' reference to the incident. Current student activism has called for the reform of the monarchy, has been suppressed by police, and activists have been arrested for lèse-majesté (insulting monarchy). [Extracted from the article]
