Abstract

In Argentina, during the year 2021, the mandatory quarantine imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic continued to affect all areas, resulting in the suspension or restriction of economic and legislative activities. Despite this, the judicial system continued to function with limitations and adapted to teleworking. The main legal developments related to Intellectual Property Rights in Argentina refer to the resolution of disputes by judicial bodies. The regulation of Intellectual Property Rights in the country is scattered across several laws, which makes their adequate protection difficult and necessitates systematic reform. Recently, a ruling was issued that highlights the validity and protection of Copyright in architectural works, emphasizing the importance of providing effective protection to authors.
