Abstract

PlGF at admission presented a mean of 170.16 pg/ml (p 25 = 70.48) in the FGR group, compared to 227.11 in the group of normal fetuses (p 25 = 143.50). To evaluate the predictive power of angiogenic markers in late fetal growth restriction (FGR) for worse perinatal prognosis. In our study, PlGF levels were lower in those fetuses with lower birthweights, which supports the idea that angiogenic markers can be a useful weapon in the diagnosis of FGR.
