Abstract

As our study showed, the PLS, SVR, and ANN models based on I S. peregrina i puparial hydrocarbons could be used to estimate the weathering time of the empty puparium. In this study, the results indicated that the hydrocarbon of I S. peregrina i puparium changed with weathering time, which is consistent with that of Zhu (2007), who found that puparial hydrocarbons of I C. megacephala i could be used as an indicator of PMI [[11]].
