Abstract

The basis for the production of hay, haylage and grass flour are perennial herbs that are produced in Russia on large areas. To maintain and preserve the yield of perennial grasses for the second and subsequent years, they are improved by harrowing, slitting, sowing grass seeds and fertilizing with their subsequent embedding in the soil and other operations that, together with technological operations for mowing, felling and selection of grasses and their removal, lead to multiple passes of aggregates. All this leads to topsoil compaction, compaction of the root systems of grasses, decrease in water resistance and, ultimately, decrease in the yield of grasses. Reducing the number of passes of aggregates for the care of perennial grasses is possible by combining operations for sowing grass seeds, fertilizing, harrowing, embedding grass seeds and fertilizers in the soil, aeration of the root layer of grasses, leveling and rolling the topsoil in one aggregate. We have developed such a universal machine, its design scheme and basic parameters are justified that ensure high-quality operation of the aggregate and fulfill agrotechnical requirements for technological operations.
