Abstract

Pressure monitoring and maintenance is a very significant parameter in all the process industries. Pressure control is essential for air conditioning, chemical reaction, boiling, extrusion, vacuuming, and distillation. At the same time, the worse pressure management will lead to critical safety problems, whereas extreme pressure inside a closed container will result in a dangerous explosion. Therefore, even in the presence of disturbance and the change of fixed point, it is very important to sustain the pressure at the desired range. To maintain the pressure the PID controller is used. Regular monitoring of pressure is important. The human shouldn't monitor the pressure in the station all the time. So the IoT is implemented in the process station to control and measure the pressure from anywhere and all the time. The Thingspeak platform is used for this internet data acquisition and control. The advantage of using Thingspeak is that the data can be communicated throughout the world without any distance limits like RS-232, WIFI, Bluetooth, etc. The result of Thingspeak is verified with the MATLAB Simulink result. Then the designed controller is evaluated using the performance metrics like Integral Square Error and Integral Absolute Error. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
