A EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL ENQUANTO DIREITO FUNDAMENTAL NO CAMINHO DO DESENVOLVIMENTO SUSTENTÁVEL.

Current paper analyzes environmental education as a type of promotion of sustainable development. Based on the deductive method, research features as exploratory, bibliographical and descriptive and discusses the effects of globalization that developed in hyper consumerism. Further, sustainability is seen as a model of development caused by the urgency to implement human activities that would impair necessary conditions to maintain human life on the plant for future generations. Analyses on education will be developed as a tool to make feasible the diffused idea of the preservation of the ecologically balanced environment for present and future generations.
