Abstract

Taking a 24.9 MW ocean going ship power unit burning high sulfur oil as the object, a set of flue gas treatment system based on seawater swirl atomization was designed. Through the reconstruction and installation of the real ship, the desulfurization effect of the system was tested under the condition of burning heavy oil with sulfur content of 3.5%, the effects of liquid gas ratio, flue gas velocity, atomization pressure and inlet flue gas temperature on desulfurization characteristics were studied. The results show that the S/C of outlet flue gas, pH, PAH and turbidity of inlet and outlet washing water can meet the emission limits of the convention under the drastic change of unit load.
