Comparison of tensile properties of Al 5154 /SiC/ TiB2 with Al 7075/6063 metal matrix composites.

The experimental research article focuses on determining tensile properties of Aluminum 5154 alloy reinforced with 5% weight fraction of Sic, 5 % weight fraction of TiB2 and 2.5% weight fraction each of SiC and TiB2, fabricated by stir casting method. The effect of the reinforcements on mechanical properties like tensile strength and tensile modulus are evaluated and compared with Al 6063 and Al7075 alloys.
