Abstract

The article presents a study which characterized the impact of schizophrenia by performing single-nucleus RNA sequencing of neurons from the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex of patients with schizophrenia and matched controls. Topics discussed include finding on neuronal subtypes from the upper cortical layers, density decrease of interneuron subtypes in the upper cortical layers in schizophrenia, and factors associated with major transcriptomic changes across cortical layers.
