Abstract

The article focuses on a system as comprehensive as the philosophy of Thomas Aquinas which is bound to appear to contain inconsistencies. Topics include examines four apparent inconsistencies, concluding that at least three of them are real with varying prospects for being repaired in ways that would preserve the more important elements of Aquinas's system and considered terms of their connections with his account of God's nature, the four problems sort themselves out into two pairs.
