Abstract

The article discusses the tragic night in Salina, a town in Utah, during the world war II, in 1945. Topics include Utah witnessed the largest mass murder of German prisoners of war on U.S. soil during World War II; most of the Salina camp buildings were dismantled and moved 80 miles northwest to Delta; and in 1943, the United States began to host prisoners of war captured in Europe and North Africa and launched construction of a vast network of camps.
