Abstract
- The article describes the celebration of Christmas season during the Tudor period in England. Information is provided on the season of fasting called Advent, celebration of Christmas Mass on Christmas Day, the Twelve Days of Christmas from December 25 to January 6, feast on New Year's Day in 1598 at the household of Percival and Bridget Willoughby, entertainment during the first Christmas of Henry VIII as king, gift-giving in New Year and the end of Christmas season with Plough Monday.
