Abstract
- Now, the discovery of the -P SB 3 sb N SB 5 sb and PN SB 2 sb phosphorus nitrides - formed under high pressure and both composed of the elusive PN SB 6 sb octahedron - builds a long-sought-after bridge between these two groups of nitrides. Keywords: high-pressure high-temperature synthesis; non-metal nitrides; PN6 octahedra; synchrotron single-crystal X-ray diffraction; ultra-incompressibility EN high-pressure high-temperature synthesis non-metal nitrides PN6 octahedra synchrotron single-crystal X-ray diffraction ultra-incompressibility 1 1 1 11/10/22 20221107 NES 221107 B For the last 30 years b , the lack of a binary phosphorus nitride containing PN SB 6 sb octahedra formed a scientific chasm between carbon-group and oxygen-group nitrides, both featuring a variety of solids with XN SB 6 sb units (X being a non-metal element). High-pressure high-temperature synthesis, non-metal nitrides, PN6 octahedra, synchrotron single-crystal X-ray diffraction, ultra-incompressibility. [Extracted from the article]
