Abstract

According to the SEM results of BOVIFs, it was observed that the fiber diameter of BOVIFs varies along the fiber longitude. Effect of fiber surface treatment and fiber loading on the properties of bagasse fiber-reinforced unsaturated polyester composites. BOVIFs consist of cellulose (47.8 wt.%) and lignin (13.4 wt.%). In literature, it is reported that plant-based fibers consist of helically wound cellulose micro fibrils, bound together by an amorphous lignin matrix. SEM images show that the fiber diameter of BOVIFs varies along the fiber and BOVIFs have a rough surface structure. [Extracted from the article]
