Abstract

The paper "New Perspective on Neolithic Rectangular Features Using Artefact Analysis, Soil Micromorphology and Ethnohistorical Analogies. A Case study from Střelice u Brna, South Moravia, Czech Republic" examines rectangular Neolithic features in Střelice u Brna, South Moravia, Czech Republic. The study uses artifact analysis, soil micromorphology, and ethnohistorical analogies to investigate the function of these structures. The research findings suggest that they are pits that may have been used as cellars or residential buildings. The study also includes the analysis of artifacts such as stone industries, ceramics, and animal body parts found in the features. The results provide new insights into the use of these rectangular structures in the Late Neolithic period. [Extracted from the article]
