Abstract
- The article reports on the growing number of physical therapists who use behavioral economics to understand the decisions patients make and achieve better outcomes. It cites the case of physical therapist Mike Studer, whose interest in BE was sparked when he read the book "Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hiddent Side of Everything." It details how Studer combined OPTIMAL theory of motor learning and motivational interviewing to support behavior change.
