Europeanization and the Disability Movement.

This paper, based upon interview and survey research, describes and analyzes the history of the European disability movement, how the movement’s history and ideology has influenced the structure and tactics of disability organizations today. The current challenge of the Europeanization of social policy is described and the response of disability organiozations, particularly in northern and western Europe is analyzed.
