Bibliosuisse sees itself as a central player in the I+D education landscape in Switzerland. Together with the Association of Archivists of Switzerland (VSA), it leads the I+D training delegation as the responsible body for basic vocational training, which has just been realigned. Bibliosuisse now wants to coordinate basic training more closely with the bachelor's and master's degree programmes in Information Science. With its own continuing education programme, Bibliosuisse is positioning itself as a practice-oriented provider of courses for employees of public and academic libraries and documentation centres.
