Abstract

This article makes the relations between society and the LGBTQIA+ universe tangible to the detriment of the functions performed by this population in the same society. Therefore, the paradigms that involve the educational scope will be explained, covering students and teachers belonging to the LGBTQIA+ community. Following historical paths, the concepts of machismo, patriarchy and heteronormativity will be developed, ideologies that underlie the prejudice and pre-judgment of minority classes, especially the LGBTQIA+. Patterns that correlate the phenomena of conduct and gender identity will also be placed at the heart of the discussion. With national and international references, the main idea of the manuscript is to present the paradigms that unfold in the LGBTQIA+ population in relation to the educational scope regarding the machismo that structures the patriarchal society resulting in heteronormative idealizations, that is, it will be explained that the effects of a society that imposes standards for a population that does not fit into such idealizations, which generate serious situations, such as Bullying and Suicide, which will be evidenced in the course of the work. Considering such considerations, it is expected that the information contained in this work can serve as bases for critical and reflective constructions around the LGBTQIA+ theme so that new thoughts and, possibly, new works dedicated to this theme are developed.
