This article considers the question to what extent a christian-based model of needs can be a useful addition to existing need models. For this purpose the well-known need model by A. Maslow is outlined. Then core statements on human needs on the basis of a christian idea of man are worked out and examined with regard to possible consequences for curative education practice. These considerations open up a space in which not only Christians or those employed to church or christian institutions can gain plausible theoretical and practical impulses. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
