Regioselective Benzylation of Quinoxalin‐2(1H)‐ones with Methylarenes Under Transition‐Metal‐Free Conditions.

A simple protocol of metal‐free C−H benzylation on the C3 position of quinoxalin‐2(1H)‐ones via the oxidation of Di‐tert‐butyl peroxide (DTBP) was developed. This environmentally friendly transformation showed high efficiency and well‐tolerated functionalization, providing the desired products in moderate to good yields.
