Abstract

Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology is internationally recognized as a professional specialty of psychology. This recognition of the specialty entails the precise identification of its specific and distinctive competencies. The aim of this paper is to review the specific competency models proposed in the field of Clinical Psychology of Childhood and Adolescence. Sixteen publications were identified in scientific databases that matched the search criteria. For the analysis and systematization of competencies, the classification of the Rodolfa et al. Cube Model has been used as reference. Overall, 22 groups of competencies specific to the professional performance of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology are mentioned, of which 15 are widely agreed upon.
