Abstract
- Research on the competence of college teachers in China has been going on for a long time, but the conclusions obtained in the dominant characteristic layer of competence are different. Based on the competency model theory, this paper used the meta-analysis method to conduct an integrated study on the dominant characteristic layer of the Chinese college teachers' competency model. A total of 29 literature sources were included, and the total number of samples was 18,246. The results indicated that the overall performance of male teacher's was better than that of female teachers in the dominant characteristic layer of the college teachers' competency model, and the average effect was significant. The regional division of China can play a moderating role in this analysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
