We analyze the link between memory and oblivion in the Brazilian political process, focusing on the behavior of some institutions and specific actors, whether state, political, military, business, religious or intellectual, internal and external, to whiten past traumas, without carrying out deep transformations, which causes its resurgence, transfigured, as a continuity that transcends different historical periods and imposes obstacles to the present.
