Regionalidade e identidade no sertão de Outros cantos, de Maria Valéria Rezende: uma experiência "fora de lugar".

This article analyzes how the regionalist literary tradition is present in the novel Outros cantos (2016), by Maria Valéria Rezende, based on the representation of the space and the identity. It also investigates how literary criticism has discussed the presence of regionalism in contemporaneity and how such discussion reflects on the author's adherence or refusal to being associated to regionalism. The article concludes that there are resonances of the regionalist tradition in Rezende's work, although the author rejects the qualification of regionalist and any relation between her work and this literary strand.
