On wave-breaking for the two-component Fornberg–Whitham system.

This paper is concerned with the Cauchy problem of the two-component Fornberg–Whitham system, which does not have the L 2 -norm conservation law of the component u. We establish two new results of wave-breaking to this system by using the sign preservation of ρ , the L 1 -norm conservation law of ρ and a priori estimate for the L 2 -norm of u.
