Reports that the left-hander baseball player Scott Stewart has agreed to a minor league contract with the New York Mets and will have a chance to earn a job in their thin bullpen. Earned run average in 10 games in 2004 for Los Angeles; Minor league contracts for right-hander Eric Junge and infielder Jed Hansen.
