Abstract

A process of depth reduction-magnetic separation technology research was introduced to pyrite cinder from Hebei. And the factors that influence the process of depth reduction and separation were systematic studied. The means of SEM, XRD were used to analyze the pyrite cinder, the roasted product of pyrite cinder and the iron ore concentrate. The results showed that the pyrite react with desulfurization agent to form metallic iron and calcium sulfide. Under optimal conditions of depth reduction, and only one stage of grinding-magnetic separation, the grade and the recovery rate of iron concentration arrived at 93.13% and 92.21%, respectively, with the sulfur content of 0.06% and it could be directly used in steelmaking after subsequent treatment, which reached the target of efficient use of solid waste, ie pyrite cinder.
