Abstract
- The new polypyrrole tin boratophosphate (PTB) material has been synthesized for the first time in this work. A series of characterization analyses of the PTB by FTIR, XRD, TGA, SEM, TEM and EA have proved that PTB is amorphous ion nanocomposites, which shows that the PTB has excellent chemical stability in complex acidic and organic environments and commendable selectivity for Pb2+ as well. The adsorption mechanism of the PTB adsorption process was studied in detail from the aspects of thermodynamics, kinetic and adsorption isotherm. It is proved that the adsorption kinetic model conforms to the quasi second-order kinetic model, while the adsorption isotherm is consistent with the Langmuir model. It is also proved that the adsorption of Pb2+ ions by the PTB is spontaneous endothermic process. In conclusion, the PTB cation exchange material synthesized in this paper has a good application prospect in the removal of Pb2+ from industrial and domestic sewage. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
