Abstract
- The article focuses on a report of the World Health Organization (WHO) related to non-communicable diseases (NCDs) as leading causes of death in sub-Saharan Africa by 2030. It states that NCDs were responsible for 37 percent of deaths in Africa in 2019. It also presents views of Matshidiso Moeti, WHO regional director for Africa, related to premature deaths from NCDs in Africa.
