The article reports the ways pioneered by Africa to reduce electronic waste (e-waste) through policy, regulation and legislation. Topics discussed include extended producer responsibility (EPR) of South Africa, need of different recycling treatments for e-waste and mitigating the impact of mining on the climate, health and the environment.
