SCHOOL LIBRARIANS AS INNOVATORS. THE TRADITION ENDURES AND EXPANDS.

The article discusses how innovation and change are driven by a sense of purpose and meaning, and how school librarians have always been innovators and problem solvers. With the technological age, school libraries have undergone a tremendous transformation, and librarians must pivot to remain relevant in the school environment. The author also discuses how a she created a makerspace program in their high school library and the valuable learning experiences that resulted.
