Abstract: The article focuses on the new stapler, Optima. Nobody realized that the stapler needed improving. But manufacturing company Swingline declared its new Optima series of staplers "jam free." For testing the equipment, 25 sheets of paper were banged together with a bunch of steel from an Optima and from Swingline's classic 747 model. It drove in a clean line of staples while the 747 produced a mangled mess.
