PENGARUH FAKTOR EKSTERNAL TERHADAP KREDIT BERMASALAH SERTA KINERJA KEUANGAN PADA BANK BPD TAHUN 2014-2018.

This study aims to determine and obtain the results of the analysis of external factors and determine their effect on non-performing loans and their implications for financial performance at Bank BPD. The method used in this study is a descriptive method using a quantitative approach. The sample in this study is the Regional Development Bank for the period 2014 to 2018 which was selected by the purposive sampling method with the criteria of the BPD bank financial statements that have been audited and several phenomena occur that can provide the latest picture of NPL and financial performance. The data were analyzed using panel data analysis techniques. In general, this study concludes that 1) there is an effect of interest rates on non-performing loans in a positive direction, 2) there is an effect of the exchange rate on non-performing loans in a negative direction, 3) there is an influence of Gross Domestic Product on non-performing loans with a direction of influence that is negative. positive, and 4) there is an effect of non-performing loans on Return on Assets with a negative relationship direction.
