Abstract
- An interview with African American poet Rita Dove is presented. Topics discussed include some of the poetry collections written by Dove such as "Thomas and Beulah," "The Yellow House on the Corner" and "Museum," when she learned that a poem does not have to rhyme, how she overcame her fear of poetry, what was it like growing up in Akron, Ohio, how her father became a chemist, and her memories of discrimination at school in Akron.
