Abstract: They have been banned in 13 states as part of blanket bans on all forms of abortion, and 15 additional states allow limited access. DeSantis, not yet declared, gave some pushback when Trump and his allies, after weeks of assailing him, demanded that he defend Trump, as a Floridian, from extradition in case Bragg came for him. If Trump is to be charged, there are far more serious federal and state investigations involving January 6 and the retention of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.
