Abstract

[ Objective/Meaning ] Based on the actual situation of the old revolutionary base areas, the path to give play to the advantages of red culture was explored, in order to provide beneficial theoretical and practical reference for the development of rural areas in the old revolutionary base areas and the realization of common prosperity.[ Methods/Procedures ] On the basis of field investigation, through the literature research and the analysis of induction, the role of red cultural resources on the rural development in the old revolutionary base areas was analyzed. Then, the value implication of developing the red culture to realize the common prosperity of the whole people, the comprehensive common prosperity, the co-construction common prosperity, and the gradual common prosperity in the old revolutionary base areas was summarized. And the realistic predicament of the development of rural red culture in the old revolutionary base areas was analyzed. Finally, the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions were put forward.[ Results/Conclusions ] There were some practical difficulties in the development of rural red culture in the old revolutionary base areas, such as the weak economic foundation, the remote geographical location, the lagging cultural construction, and the difficulties in grassroots governance. It was necessary to promote the red culture to boost the common prosperity of the old revolutionary base areas through the practical paths including creating the characteristic brand industry, building the red “nostalgic” villages, carrying forward the spirit of the old revolutionary base areas, and improving the ability of thematic governance.
