- Reports that the papers of postmodern poet and performance artist Anne Waldman have been acquired by the University of Michigan's Special Collections Library. Waldman's association with the Beat-influenced poets; Waldman as cofounder of the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at the Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado.
