Precast construction with carbon reinforced concrete and aerogel thermal insulation The CUBE BOX represents a milestone in the development of carbon reinforced concrete. For the first time, an industrially manufactured building is made of carbon reinforced concrete. Within the scope of the construction project, steel reinforced (semi‐)precast concrete elements were transferred into the carbon concrete technology. The article also describes the integration of aerogel thermal insulation in semi‐precast concrete construction. Based on various design problems, the production and assembly of the (semi‐)precast walls and the precast ceilings are described. A particular challenge of the project is the use of an automated production line in the precast concrete plant. From a practical point of view, the essential work steps are described in detail.
