The Wadi Rum Reserve in Jordan is home to at least 34 reptile species, including the endangered lizard species Phoenicolacerta kulzeri. During a four-day stay in the reserve, the author was able to identify ten lizard species, including Phoenicolacerta kulzeri khazaliensis, whose presence was observed for the first time outside its typical habitat.
