Abstract
- In order to optimize the ratio of basalt fiber high modulus asphalt mixture and improve its road performance, the response surface method was used to optimize the mix ratio of basalt fiber high modulus asphalt mixture, the performance of optimized basalt fiber high modulus asphalt mixture was analyzed by Marshall test, immersion Hamburg rutting test, low temperature trabecular bending test, immersion Marshall test and freeze-thaw splitting test, the microstructure of the asphalt mixture failure section was observed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and the composite enhancement mechanism of basalt fiber and high modulus admixture was tried to reveal. The results show that the optimum ratio of basalt fiber high modulus asphalt mixture obtained by response surface method is 0. 44% high modulus agent, 0. 45% basalt fiber and 4. 98% optimum asphalt aggregate ratio. The road performance test under the best mix shows that the high-temperature stability, low temperature crack resistance, and water stability of the mixture have been greatly improved. It is observed by scanning electron microscopy that the basalt fiber can play a better role in reinforcing and dispersing stress under the action of high modulus agent, and the basalt fiber in the best mix is more evenly distributed in the high modulus asphalt mixture.
