In recent times, the concept of merit in the education sector has been the subject of debates and counter-discussions. Unlike sports, dance or craft schools, where merit is unquestionably accepted, it seems that the application of merit to the education system is a source of concern for both students and teachers. The long-standing educational paradigm, which links culture to the possibility of a vast encyclopedic knowledge, has become an ideological reference point for knowledge and culture. With a view to a necessary change of course, in this contribution the author offers a proposal for a possible School of Talents. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
