IMAGINÁRIO GOUVEIA: A CONSTRUÇÃO DO OBSCENO NO CONTO "O MENINO DO GOUVEIA" (1914).

This article analyzes the construction of the character Gouveia, in "O Menino do Gouveia", published at 1914, in the pornographic weekly O Rio-nú, a magazine that circulated between the years 1898 and 1916. From the presence of the name/term Gouveia, its origin in an article in the newspaper O paiz, and its representation, we traced the obscene imaginary responsible for creating such a character and its unfoldings that will lead to the production of this narrative. It analyzes the role of the media and the textual representations that become fundamental for the theme of the short story, as well as for its mass circulation and commercialization.
